At Clean Living Kitchen, I research and try out products for you and let you know what I think and how these product fit into the craziness of life. With many common toxins to try to avoid, I weigh the pros and cons of common kitchenware materials and compare them to mainstream options. All so you know which will be best for you. I’ll always give you straight up, non-biased opinions and put these products to the test of everyday clean living.
There’s no fancy test kitchens, this is all tested in my own little kitchen.
What Clean Living Kitchen looks at:
- Materials – What is this product made of and is it safe to use? I prefer clean living products that are not only safe to use but that are manufactured ethically and safely. However I’ll take a look at any products that aim to be a part of a clean living kitchen.
- Price – While I generally think buying a more expensive quality product up front will save you money and health in the long run, I know that’s not always possible. I review products at all different price points for all different households and stages of clean living.
- Usefulness – Does this product do what it claims is it easy to use and clean? A product that’s easy to use and clean will be used more. Which results in more clean, healthy meals!
Hey I’m Laura. I’ve been on my clean living journey for a little over 3 years now. I started my clean living journey when I, like many, decided to try and cut household toxins and processed foods from my life.
I wish clean living was as easy as just passing up on the dessert, but it’s just not that simple. It takes dedication and small steps, little by little to navigate clean living. I see people struggle with this every day. Clean living should be easy!
We all do our best to live a cleaner, healthier life. And one of the best ways to do this is to eat clean foods and be mindful of everything we consume. This includes the products we use to prepare our food. So many cookware and kitchen products are be made of materials that transfer to the food and contaminate our meals – undoing our efforts to live cleaner.
Unfortunately, today’s manufacturing processes tend to use the cheapest materials. Not only that, but big companies have created products to make everything easier, casting aside concerns about any toxic additives or health. Let’s be real, sometimes after a long day of work, it’s just easier to microwave that burrito. We’ve all been there. And the big companies know this.
Remember, clean living is a journey and not necessarily a destination. It’s virtually impossible to replace every single product in our kitchen at once.
But imagine you won the lottery and could go on a kitchenware shopping spree. You’ll find that 100% clean options in the kitchen aren’t even always available. Much more research needs to be done and new products made. Sometimes you just have to choose the best clean living option for your kitchen at the time.
And while it would be nice to cook every single meal from scratch, that’s not always realistic. Sometimes we have to compromise. Especially when you’ve run out of time and some products make cooking so instant.
I want to share my journey with you, help you on yours and build a community of clean living that starts in the kitchen. I want you to you make the best choices for your place in life and personal lifestyle. There’s so many different products available it can be hard to know where to start. And choosing the best products for your kitchen should be easy.
And while it’s not always possible to have everything in life be 100% clean, any step you can take to a cleaner life is always better. My goal is to help you make informed decisions to make the steps live your best clean life.
